For students who are comfortable with the basics of the potter's wheel - beginning techniques will not be covered.

This short session will explore various lid styles such as butterdish lids, creamers, honey pots, jars, and so much more! Both hand building and wheel-throwing will be addressed to explore the multitude of lid shapes and possibilities.

Teaching resident artist Heather Lepp will go over some of her favorite methods for lid making that combine wheel thrown forms with hand built components, as well as modification techniques. Great for students with some experience on the wheel who want to know some new ideas to spice up their pottery!

Included in class fee:

• First bag of clay
• Firing Fees (cone 10 reduction) for works created in class are covered in the tuition fee.
• Access to work in studio outside of class meeting time, by appointment
  Access outside of class time will be restricted to business hours when other classes and programs are not in session in the classroom, and additional monitored  times. Your instructor will orient you on how to reserve open studio access on the first day of class.
